Another thing....pvfan..Bush isnt the one who decides if abortion, gay marriage, etc. is against the law. He is against it but it isnt against the law until it passes through congress.

Im not trying to be an a$$hole about this, but just name me a few things that he has done since southwest virginia is in such great shape.
Well....Gas prices are so high today because Bill Clinton lied under oath. Also...Bill Clinton can be thanked for: gas $3.00; war in iraq; war in afghanistan; 9/11; abortion; gay marriage; immoral children; a bad day at work; grumpy spouse; your car breaking down; anything bad.
Listen, I'm just being goofy, so don't get upset: The point is that a lot of blame has been passed on one man because he carries this letter (D) beside his name. The problem with that is that the party comes before the country. Let's all get along
I totally agree with lpd05.
"The common man" has the same opportunities as the rich dont they spuds? I mean that is what America was founded on right? The land of opportunity??? If nobody in politics understands the "common mans" problems, then why doesnt the "common man" get an education and get involved and do something about it instead of placeing the blame on the rich and the men holding office?
Which party holds the most votes in that ?
Off the subject a little bit, but all of you just think how much gas would be saved if all the kids would ride the bus to school instead of having mom or dad take them and pick them up.
Not if you are part of the real world. Were you born with the Bush spoon?
jenkins schools now go 4 days
Then theyd proly start charging kids gas money to ride the bus or taxes would be raised to pay for it.
Show me where I'm gonna get the half million to run for prez to get the matching funding?
Well alot of our problems now are because they got ignored under the Clinton administration. He was to cowardly to address some of the problems that Bush is having to deal with today. If Clinton had spent more time dealing with our terrorism threat and our position in the Middle East and less time playing hide the cigar, then we might be in better shape today.
Where do you think the extra will come from to pick up the unexpected fuel costs?
No, actually what would happen is that the county couldn't handle all the kids on the buses...for one thing, they don't have the extra buses or the money because they have depended on parents taking their to school in order to "save" on their budget.
Very good post greencrest. I agree totally.
Ha ha ha jjjjjuust keep the signature in minddddddd! hahahahahahaha Darn Bill!
Well you can get an education and make a pretty good salary if you go the right way, or you could win the lottery... either way blaming the rich and the men that have the balls to stand up and run this country isnt going to fix your problems Im sorry to say.
I see it now, Bush is gonna get the blame for all this and he followed a democrat into office just like Hoover got the blame for the stock market crash and the great depression back in 1929 and HE followed a democrat into office.
Well....you see the fact is....no matter how much money you have...it wont make your problems go away...the best advice i can give is to seek God when faced with lifes troubles.
Well no Im not saying that money will fix all your problems at all. But from what I got from Spuds comments was that the "common mans" problems were money, so....
Hey, I do ok. It just gripes me the way he treats YOU.
Well...I hadnt have a good argument in a while...and well politics can always get me started and pvfan is always a good one to argue with.....but as for me this is my last post.
Hey Spuds, me and you have had this type of argument many, many times. I think we have somewhat of an understanding dont we?
Anyway neither one of us is in a position to complain considering what these people suffering from this hurricane are going through.
Elderly- they are treated like trash, no health care- pension funds being robbed. How moral is that?
Not being a know it all...but Hoover followed 2 (R)'s into office.
Harding and Coolidge (not sure if that's the order). Anyway's, this should all end. (R)'s will say one thing, (D)'s will say another. Sometimes the (R)'s are right, sometimes the (D)'s are right. I'll tell u who's always right though...What's in the best interest for the United States of America. Party politics pull people out of the truth and into a false sense of reality. There is no point in arguing w/a party loyalist...Their too far to the left or right to see the facts. I want to pay less for gas and earn more money...the rest is just subjective
We just hadn't done this in a while, I didn't want you to forget! I quit- the storm is sorta the front line, and we do have energy problems of all sorts- and every ton of coal we belt thru the moutain is some more oil for another job, See ya.
ok here's my 2 cents
the gas prices (the most recent influx, anyway) is because of one of the single greatest natural catastrophes in our era...i think the initial raise in gas prices was because of the war in iraq though...the gas lines from most of our own oil rigs in the gulf region have been damaged, thus the increase in gas prices...they will come down substantially within the next couple of weeks, but it's not known how much or for how long, b/c they are tapping into our reserves now...which will cause a ruckus among the environmentalists
as far as bill clinton being the cause of the problems we are facing today........HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.....good one, Rove
clinton did indeed have the EXACT same intelligence as bush did about bin laden, hussein, etc. and he didnt act on it...probably for some good reasons too...one being the fact that hussein didnt try to take out clinton's daddy, but the main reason being that he could find no link between Al Queida and Hussein...pretty safe to say Clinton made the better choice of the 2, he decided not to attack Hussein and no one attacked us!!
get ready to see another Clinton in the White House in 2008 unless Obama decides to run...either way in the next 10 years we will see the first woman president or black president...or both
It would have happened with any president. I can understand the reason because the hurricane. Don't have as much oil, gotta raise the price. That reason I understand. I think we should have left Iraq as soon as we caught Saddam.
I have current events for first block and we did article reviews today. I did mine from the KTN, one article a guy said not to panic. I'm not trying to sound all hippy but that's exactly what we're doing, panicking.
How can George Bush claim to be a christian when all he has done is lie to the american people. He lied about the war and told us thatt the economy was in good shape I think anyone can see what a big lie that was.
If you put enough fear into people they will believe anything.
every great truth starts ouy as hearsay and ends up as superstitution
The hardships of today, ha. I for one hate the price of gas, its bad, but it isnt the end of the world. As far as rationing goes, you young folks need to read your history books, if they still allow that in school, back in WW2 everything was rationed, from panty hose to sugar to gas. Im sure people didnt like it then. This country is at war if you folks dont remember, and when at war you support your country, your military and your president--like him or not. Quit whinning, bunch of cry babies.
I support our troops but not the decision that was made to go to war in Iraq. The similarties between Nam and Iraq are overwhelming which scares me to death. Hopefully, somebody will wake up soon and get our troops out of that country and elect a president who's main agenda is to make money off of oil.
actually this country is not at war...maybe you need to go read a civics book and come back and tell me what it takes to constitute a war
we havent been in a war since WW2
No WMD, they lied to the WORLD, then blamed it on bad intellegence. Bush has no idea what he's doing. Its going to get worse before it gets any better. Healthcare cost, fuel, food, taxes all out of control. But you still hear of a baseball player making 15-20 million a year. We must stop this stupid trend. Until the American people wake up.....it will get worse.
Ok guys and gals I've read through all of these posts, and now I have a few opinions of my own.
First of all, when 9-11 happened and we were a country in panic everybody was all on board for going and stopping terrorism. The Bush folks was given intelligence that Iraq had supplies of weapons of mass destruction. For a country with that capability and a leader who admits hating the United States that makes for a scary combination. We know he had them, or how else can you explain all the mass graves? We didn't find any when we went in, but hell we told the whole world what we were looking for. You can't tell me they didn't ship their stockpiles elsewhere. Iran, Afghanistan, shoot maybe even Northern Korea. I don't really know, what I do know is we can't leave now we've already turned their world upside down.
As far as blaming Bush for all this I see both sides, but the truth of the matter is I'd much rather have Bush than Kerry. We need someone with a little back bone about'em. When you start bringing up the gay marriages, and abortions, and all that other stuff, that's a whole different realm of perspective. You have to take into account that those peoples opinions count as well. After all they are American citizens. So my advise is just calm down people, things will get better, and we should keep those on the Gulf Coast in our prayers, and keep the faith. After all isn't that what Christiananity is all about????

What a TERRIBLE thought. One has already looted the White House once and is not qualified to be dog catcher in Knott Countyu Ky. And she is the better of the two.
id be interested to hear how you think that Obama isn't a better candidate than Hillary
and if Iraq was such a threat to the U.S. why did it only take us a WEEK to take over the entire country?
the backlash is not against the war on terrorism (which is a losing battle anyway, but thats another topic) it is how all of a sudden Bush decided that he could place a link between Iraq, Hussein and Al Quieda when he was not given any intelligence to suggest that was the case

What a TERRIBLE thought.
